This course is an introduction to python, a programming language that has found use in many sectors like software design and research. The course is designed to get students acquainted with Python as they complete engaging lessons, solve challenging puzzles, and build their own games in Tynker. This course is a transition from blocked-based programming to text-based syntax.
At the end of the course, Students should be able to creatively program projects such as games while demonstrating a good grasp of basic programming concepts as well as a mastery of python syntax. Students will be expected to come up with an idea for a game and take it through the entire design and implementation process, creating custom versions of many of their favorite games in Python.
